My Rain Mikamura, with a small mod. Her breasts were separate and looked unnatural to me because, in the anime, there is a system that coats the body in a form-fitting fabric…but it shouldn't suction-cup around each breast, it should stretch across them. So, I puttied in-between the breasts to simulate stretched clothing. Also, the bow came with a thin piece of resin as the string…but I didn't like the look of it, so I removed it and glued a piece of clear fishing wire in its place.
I was going for a very pearly, glossy look to her costume, like this picture: [link]
The black parts came out more purple than I would have liked, but it still looks okay and I didn't want to spray transparent black over it to darken it for fear of losing the consistent pearly luster. The pictures from the anime show the bow and spiral resin base being pink, but I thought it looked strange, so I opted for white with lavender shading. Please enjoy my third completed kit, Rain Mikamura.

Thanks so much ^__^ I didn't place in the competition, but I figured I wouldn't, it was all in good fun and to show a nice kit I built. It was pretty easy to fix the breasts, I only applied some putty between them, wetted my fingers and smoothed it out to shape, then I put a tiny bit under her breasts as well, so it wouldn't look like the material was stuck under them XD This was my first time doing a gradient, and while it didn't have as much white as I wanted, the color blending came out very smooth, so I just stuck with it instead of trying to add more white to the bow XD The pearl turned the black way more purple than I wanted but it still came out pretty nice in the end, I'm proud of her ^___^
Wow *-* This one looks also great! You did very well to adjust that middle thingy between her breasts. I've looked for the garage kit and you're totally right...it looks sooo unnatural. As if both breasts were glued right on top of her torso *lol* Your version is the better one and looks more natural. You've chosen great colours for her tights and the suit. I like the pearlescent look a lot and nice shadings on the bow, too!!
